Content Guidelines
Our content selection process is based on sound development and education principles. During the selection process, reviewers use the following guidelines to determine whether or not content is appropriate for kids.
KidZui strives to offer both entertaining and educational content. We promote kid-oriented websites, yet we also offer more challenging content to assist in a child’s development.
PARENTAL DISCRETION (It's up to you!)
We know that the choice to share information about some topics is best left to the family. The content in KidZui meets our own strict editorial guidelines, but here are some areas we thought you might like to weigh in on as well. Currently, your child will not see content on these topics unless you check the boxes below. If you check the box, the content becomes available to the ages listed in parenthesis below.
- Athletic Violence (8 years of age and older): Violent action in sports.
- Natural Violence (5 years of age and older): Violence that occurs in nature, such as a lion catching elk.
- Graphical Historical Depictions (10 years of age and older): Accurate descriptions and/or depictions of historical events.
- Substance Abuse Prevention and Education (10 years and older) Education for children on the dangers of drugs. It must be a reputable, educational site.
We work hard to ensure that content in KidZui meets our own strict editorial guidelines, but here are some areas we thought you might like to weigh in on as well. Prohibited topics include:
- Nudity
- Profanity
- Intense violence
- Sexual violence
- Sex themes/sex
- Racism/ discrimination/propaganda
- Slander
- Illegal drugs
- Teenage & adult chat and communication sites
